Know Your Website Ranking

googlemb.gifWhere do you rank in search engines? It's important to know the answer to this question to market your business on the internet. 

Conduct a search for your name, your business name, and keywords associated with your business.  See where you land.  Are you on the first page? 

Search engines such as Google use powerful algorithms to determine ranking but there is a lot you can do to increase your position.  Applying keywords and creating relevant content on your website count toward your position. 

On a monthly basis you should:
  • Perform a search - Google yourself and your business to monitor your ranking (also check Yahoo & Bing).
  • Compare your position to the previous month.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of your online marketing strategy - did your position increase or decrease?

Make monitoring your ranking a regular part of your business marketing program. Apply new strategies and watch how high you can go!
